Cargo

Air Zimbabwe Cargo provides you air freight services to all your special shipments across the globe. We care for your special cargo especially; live animal, pharmaceuticals, medicaments, dangerous goods (as per IATA rules) and valuable cargo.

During Covid19 in 2020, Air Zimbabwe rescued 132 citizens that were in China due to the effects of the lockdown. In addition 1.2 million doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines and various supplies including syringes landed in Harare, through Air Zimbabwe Cargo services, in 2021.

There are two types of cargo; Special and General Cargo.

Special Cargo items include:

Dangerous goods, live animals, perishable cargo, wet cargo, time and temperature sensitive products, (human remains, pharmaceuticals and medicaments) among others.

General Cargo items include:

Items that do not require any extra precautions or special handling during air transport. These types of items are retail and most consumer goods (with the exception of mobile phones, tablets and laptops), dry goods, hardware, textiles, and more.
The cargo acceptance, warehousing, loading and unloading functions are contractually outsourced to local handling agents in Zimbabwe and Foreign Service providers at our regional destinations. Highly trained personnel both on ground and in air ensure the cargo ‘type’ complies with required standards for safe and secure transportation.
